Spring break photos

All I did this spring break was hang out my family and take pictures of them. It was actually really nice. I've decided to try to spend more time taking pictures of my family because I'm often so burned out from taking pictures for class that it never occurs to me to shoot my family.

Old nature photos

Nature photography was my first love, and I thought I'd post a few old frames I had kicking around my computer. The first three are from some experiments with high key and the last is from an eclipse. I made it black and white because the light on the trees was weird.

Crosswords at Donkey

Kristen and I went to Donkey to study, but that didn't really happen. You can tell how much she loves having her picture taken.

One of my friends is a ninja. Seriously, he climbs trees like a monkey.

Chamberlain's 2

Just a few frames from my last photo story that I didn't use for class. Cigarettes are a big deal at that store. And it turns out the owner is a race car driver as well as a store owner and bus driver. I got to go into the back of the store, and he had his racing uniform in a corner. He's a pretty interesting guy, and I think I might be cool to do a story that focuses just on him and not his store.

Lately it seems the only photos I take are for class, and I don't seem to like any of them. So, I'm trying to spend more time just taking pictures of my friends and other random things. Trying to remember why I love photography.



Cathy finally turned 21 this week. Now we can go out and party, if we ever went out.

Sometimes in Athens we have to make our fun, like going to the grocery store in the middle of the night.



When we came out of the store, there was a cat in the parking lot trying to find to find something to eat.

Sometimes living in WV isn't so bad. Whenever I start hating it too much, I get reminded how beautiful it is.
