On my drive home

I drove to WV again on Thursday night to work on my project. I've been making that drive a lot lately, and it has been starting to wear on me. But this Thursday it didn't seem so bad.

Hippotherapy

I've been working on a multimedia project on hippotherapy for a few weeks now. It started with a broad view of the therapy itself, but recently I've narrowed my focus to one boy in the program. I've been trying to spend time with him and his family, so that my project can show how the therapy affects his life. I'm not sure how successful my project will be, but I'm enjoying the opportunity to get to know Grant and his family.

I'm also enjoying spending time around horses. It's so peaceful at the stable that i often feel as though I'm not really working while I'm there. It's a nice change.

I've been way too busy with school this quarter to update, and part of it because I'm shooting more than I think I ever have in my life. I have two classes that require shooting, and I've been trying to shoot more for myself. Fun stuff that doesn't have any pressure attached. I guess I'm trying to remember why I've loved photography all my life.

Anyway, I'm taking a portrait class that has been a real learning experience for me. I can't say that I'm very good at portraiture, but I'm having fun (most days) and learning a lot.
