It's hard for me to believe, but my year of service with the Appalachian Coal Country is at an end. I had an incredible year, with an incredible organization, and I am grateful that I had the opportunity. One of my last projects was photographing ACCT Fall Training, and, as usual, it was a blast. Here are few images from that week.
There was beautiful mist in the New River Valley the day I participated in the bridge walk.
Firelight photos are a bit of a cliche, but they are so much fun to take.
I recently had the opportunity to cross the catwalk under the New River Gorge Bridge. It was an incredible and terrifying experience, and I am glad I forced myself to participate, despite my fear of heights.
AmeriCorps NCCC Team members participate in a day of service on 9/11/2012. NCCC Team Pioneer 7 worked at two volunteer fire departments in Southern West Virginia.
I spend my life trying to translate the world I see into photos I can share with the world. I am rarely successful in producing a photo that shows the world as I see it, but I was successful today. This photo has no deep meaning, but it makes me happy nonetheless.

I have been doing some writing for work, recently. Gardening for Economic Growth is the second of two stories I wrote about OSM/VISTAs serving in Abingdon, VA.
Sometimes I think my accidental pictures are the best. They are always my favorites.
I find that I enjoy photographing window washing.
